Meet the members of O'Brien STEM Academy

Sue Harty

I am the mother of a fourth-grader and we enjoy baseball, hiking and kayaking as well as various other activities in our spare time. I have a background in management and currently am an independent representative  for  Dove Chocolate.

Merline Irving

My name is Merline Irving and I am the proud mother of 3 wonderful boys, 2 of my sons attended O’Brien School. My youngest Kevyon Brown is a 4th grader in the S.T.E.M Academy.

My interest in wanting to be a member of the Student Governance Council at O’Brien is to continue my support of my child education by understanding the school programs and policies and be able to provide positive feedbacks. I also wanted to be aware and involved in the conduct of responsive activities to address student's curriculum and behavior as needed.

Lani Berson

I am the mother of a 4th grader. I am 100% committed in helping this school and this program be the best they can be.

I was the president of the PTO at our previous school, and I very much enjoyed being a useful part of the team.

I would bring enthusiasm, dedication, creativity, and joy to this council.

Karen Koski

I am extremely interested in taking part in O’Brien’s school governance council. It is my belief that parents that stay active in their child’s school, activities, and friends tend to make better decisions as they grow. Parent input is very important because there are so many fresh ideas that are brought to the table to help make all of our children successful.

Eileen Davis

As the parent of two 4th graders, I would very much like to be a part of the O’Brien School Governance Council. I completed the 12 week parents support educational excellence parent leadership program several years ago.

Erika Rivera

I realize a child’s chance of success in school depends heavily on the strength of their own foundation, and that it is important for the parents to be involved with their child’s school to create that base. I would like to be involved with O’Brien School as much as possible and the governance council will allow me to do just that.

Theresa Strevel

I want to bring more parents, school staff, students, and community members together for a common goal of helping children. These children are our future. I want to be part of an exciting partnership to improve student achievement. I want to help are schools analyze the data, school resources, and make any operational change to assist the school and make it a great institute of learning.
